The correlation between teen pregnancy and academic failure are undeniable. Although teen birth rates have declined nationwide since 1991 by 67%, research shows that 3 in 10 girls ages 15-19 will become pregnant, and only 40% will graduate high school, of which only 2% will finish college by the age of 30. Educators, especially those in low-performing school districts, should be as concerned as parents when it comes to preventing teen pregnancies given the state of our 21st-century economy. It is critical now more than ever for teens to graduate high school and attain higher education for the success of our communities and nation in this competitive global economy.

So far, we have served 16 middle schools, 20 high schools, 6 alternative sites, more than 13 community settings and 19 zip codes through our TPP (Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program) and PREP (Personal Responsibility Education Program), which are completely funded through grants and supported by the Office of Adolescent Health and the Family & Youth Services Bureau. Together we can prepare our teens for success. Be part of the solution.

Many of the local schools in the South Florida area we reach are:

  • Miami Killian Senior High
  • West Miami Middle
  • Jose De Diego Middle
  • Miami Edison Senior High
  • Miami Jackson Senior High
  • Homestead Middle
  • Miami Southridge High
  • Miami South Dade High
  • Andover Middle
  • Country Club Middle
  • John F Kennedy Middle
